Booking trips through 12-Travel: how the agency works, cancellation fees, documents and cashback

· 2026-10-03

12-Travel.ch is a travel agent, not a tour operator. The site is run by ATB International Services & Consulting GmbH in Halle (Saale), Germany, and its pages and terms are in German. It arranges package holidays, flights, hotel bookings and extras such as car hire or day trips. Delivery times and shipping do not apply here. What counts is who your contract is with, what a change costs, how payment works and when the documents arrive. The answers are in the terms of the site.

Who your contract is with

When you book, the contract for the trip exists only between you and the operator of the service. 12-Travel is only obliged to arrange the booking and acts as a travel agency. Your booking request is first an offer. The contract with the operator comes into being once the operator confirms it. The confirmation of receipt from 12-Travel expressly does not count as that confirmation. Read the operator's conditions before you book, because they define the process and duties.

Costs and payment

12-Travel charges fees for arranging the booking, and they are already inside the total price. If the service is cancelled, the fee is not refunded unless 12-Travel or a helper caused the cancellation. The payment options are shown with each offer. The operator may charge fees for bank transfer, credit card or direct debit, and these are shown during booking. For scheduled flights the total price is due immediately after booking.

If you pay by credit card, 12-Travel can run security checks and ask for proof of address or a copy of the card with a recent statement, and you may black out the transactions. If a collection fails for reasons you are responsible for, a fee of up to 10.00 EUR can be charged.

Documents and confirmations

12-Travel sends tickets, confirmations and vouchers only after full payment. For hotels you receive only the reservation number, which you show at check-in. For car hire you get an electronic voucher. For package holidays the travel documents usually go out by post. Check your spam folder too, because e-tickets and data for online check-in arrive by e-mail.

Changing and cancelling

Whether, until when and at what cost you can rebook or cancel depends only on the operator's conditions. You make a change or a cancellation in writing to 12-Travel. If the operator allows a change, 12-Travel can charge a processing fee of 50 euro per person, on top of the costs of the operator. With a return flight you must take both flights. If you do not take the outbound flight, the return flight is cancelled automatically, with no claim to a refund. 12-Travel recommends travel cancellation insurance.

Passport, visa and contact

You are responsible for passport, visa, currency and health rules. Find out before you travel from consulates or embassies. You can reach the service by e-mail at [email protected] and by phone on +49 345 963 903 17.

Cashback with daily cashback

Open the 12-Travel page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 2%) is shown. Press the shop button, then search and book as usual. In your free account the cashback first shows as open and becomes confirmed once 12-Travel has reported the booking, usually after the trip. A cancelled booking is deducted from the amount.

Practical tips

  • Check the operator's conditions before you pay, especially cancellation periods and baggage rules.
  • Enter names exactly as in the passport, because a change brings an extra processing fee per person when it is allowed.
  • Keep other cashback sites closed while you book, since a later click can replace the first one.
