Aviasales vs Google Flights: Which Finds Cheaper Flights?
Aviasales vs Google Flights: both compare flights and then send you to the seller, but only Aviasales is listed at daily cashback. So if the choice is about cashback, we point you to Aviasales and keep Google Flights as a second opinion. Which of the two shows the lower fare changes by route and day, which is why we do not name a winner on price. Status October 2026.
Cashback on each side
Aviasales has its page here: Aviasales at daily cashback. Rate and offers in force are listed on it. Google Flights is not a shop with us. Both services pass you on, so the seller who finally takes your payment is the one that matters. Aviasales says it does not save tickets, and its help page states that you buy on the seller's website, where later changes also take place.

Booking with cashback in five steps
- Start on the Aviasales shop page with us, ad blocker off and no other voucher or comparison windows open.
- Press the booking button and enter route, dates, passengers and cabin class on Aviasales.
- Choose a ticket and press Buy. Aviasales redirects you to the seller's site, where you enter passenger details and pay.
- Finish in the same session without opening another price site in between.
- A pending entry shows in your free account, and the finished trip confirms it.
If you only compared on Google Flights, nothing is lost. Go back to the shop page and repeat the search there, as the click has to come from our page.
What makes Aviasales cashback lapse
- The ticket is returned or exchanged for a refund. Aviasales points out that refunds and exchanges follow the fare conditions, and the seller has the last word.
- You buy through a link from Google Flights or any route that skipped our shop page.
- You do not fly and do not cancel, so the trip never completes.
- An ad blocker stopped the click.
- A voucher code taken from another site replaces our tracking.
The differences in short
Who sells. Aviasales states that it charges no commission and shows the prices quoted by airlines and agencies. Google Flights lists offers from more than 300 airline and agency partners and says these partnerships have no effect on the ranking.
Finding dates. In the Aviasales calendar the dates with the cheapest tickets show in green, and the service points out that return tickets can be cheaper than two single flights. Google Flights has a calendar, a price graph and a Best and a Cheapest tab, where the cheaper results may carry trade-offs such as self-transfer baggage or other airports.
Baggage. On an Aviasales ticket card you see whether baggage is part of the fare, and if not you can add it on the seller's site. Google Flights has a bags filter that includes the fees for checked or carry-on bags. Google adds that estimated bag fees may be subject to government taxes.
Alerts. Aviasales offers notifications if a ticket price drops in its app. Google Flights tracks routes or single flights and emails you about price changes.
Help after booking. At both, changes and cancellations go through the seller, since neither of them can do it for you.
Checking the price and the ticket
Google says its fares are refreshed roughly once every 24 hours, so a fare can change between the search and the seller's page. Trust the total on the seller's checkout over the number in the result list. At Aviasales, the ticket normally arrives by email within three hours after payment, per its help page. If it does not, the seller named in your payment receipt is the first contact, and your pending entry with us stays in your account until the trip is confirmed.
One more habit helps with both: keep your search in a single browser window, note the final amount on the seller's page before you pay, and keep the confirmation email until the cashback has been confirmed.
Who should pick what
Cashback hunters: start at the Aviasales shop page and book there. You can still check the Google result beforehand.
Flexible travellers: use the Google price graph to see which weeks look cheaper, then run the same dates through Aviasales.
People with bags: compare with the bags switched on at Google and the baggage line on the Aviasales ticket card.
People who might change plans: look at the exchange and refund conditions on the ticket before paying, because a returned ticket earns no cashback.
Our recommendation
For a flight with cashback, Aviasales via the shop page is our pick of the two. Run the same dates through both, look at what you would pay in the end, and then pick the seller you trust.
