Buying watches at Uhrendirect: shipping to Germany, Austria and Switzerland
Uhrendirect is the online shop of Uhren-Hieber GmbH in Munich, an authorised dealer for watches and jewellery from brands such as Casio, Junghans, Longines, Tissot and Thomas Sabo. The shop is built for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. If you live elsewhere, the delivery rules matter before you pick a watch, so here is what the shop's own shipping page says.
Where Uhrendirect delivers
The shipping page lists three countries with fixed rates: Germany, Austria and Switzerland. For other countries of the European Economic Area the shop explains that its sales are limited to the delivery address. If your country is not on the list, you can send your order through the contact form and either collect the goods at the shop in Munich or have them delivered to an address in Germany.
Shipping costs by country
| Country | Shipping below the free limit | Shipping above it | Extra delivery time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Germany | 4 EUR shipping up to 48.99 EUR | Free shipping from 49 EUR | None, the time is shown on the product page |
| Austria | 12 EUR shipping up to 48.99 EUR | 8 EUR shipping from 49 EUR | 3 days |
| Switzerland | 16 EUR shipping up to 99.99 EUR | 8 EUR shipping from 100 EUR | 6 days |
Express delivery to Austria is possible for a surcharge of 29 EUR, but you have to ask the shop first. Parcels go out with DHL or UPS as insured packages, and deliveries to Switzerland and to Packstations in Germany use DHL. A Packstation delivery rules out payment by credit card.
Delivery time and customs
The delivery time on each product page applies to Germany. Delivery to other countries can take 3 days longer, and to Switzerland 6 days longer because of customs handling. Goods in stock that are ordered on a weekday before 14:00 are prepared for dispatch the same day. With payment in advance the clock starts one day after you instruct your bank.
For Switzerland the customer pays the customs charges, and the amount depends on the type and value of the goods under Swiss rules. Thomas Sabo items cannot be shipped to Switzerland at all.
Payment
- Payment in advance with a 5 percent discount (not on Nomos and Breitling)
- Credit card: Eurocard, Visa and American Express, charged on the day the goods are sent
- PayPal, including PayPal direct debit for orders up to 1,500 EUR
Returns and warranty
You have 14 days to withdraw from the contract. The shop pays the return shipping and refunds your payment, including the original shipping, within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same payment method. The right of withdrawal ends early for sealed audio, video or software packages once the seal is broken. The shop also points to the statutory warranty. You can reach the team on +49 89 13926322 or by email at [email protected].
Using cashback
Open the Uhrendirect page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 5%) is shown together with the offers we check every day. Press the shop button, then browse and pay as usual. In your free account the cashback first shows as open and turns confirmed once the shop has reported the order, which usually happens after the withdrawal period. If you send something back, the cashback for that item is deducted.
Practical tips
- A basket of 45 EUR to Germany pays 4 EUR shipping, so adding a small item to pass 49 EUR can save that fee.
- For Switzerland, plan for customs on top of the order, and check the total at checkout.
- Ask about a metal strap shortening before you order, the shop offers it in advance.
