Travis Perkins: delivery area, charges, Click and Collect and returns
Travis Perkins is a British builders' merchant with more than 500 branches. You can order building materials, timber, tools, plumbing and bathroom products online and either have them delivered or collect them. The shop is built for Great Britain, so this guide is mostly about what that means for delivery areas, delivery charges, collection and returns.
Where Travis Perkins delivers
The FAQ answers the overseas question directly: the company currently only operates in Great Britain, so it does not sell to overseas customers. Delivery goes to your chosen address within Great Britain, with one list of exceptions. Some postcode areas are not served, for example ZE10, KW11 6, PA20 and parts of IV, PH, KA and EH. The full list is on the FAQ page, so enter your postcode before you plan a larger order.
Delivery charges
What you pay depends on whether you have a trade account. Without an account the delivery fee is £30 for orders under £150, and delivery is free from £150. Trade account holders get free branch delivery on orders over £100. All values include VAT. Items that come straight from a supplier have their own delivery charge, which is calculated at checkout. Tool hire and Benchmarx kitchens and joinery can carry separate fees.
Heavy goods vehicles deliver kerbside. During checkout you are asked about obstructions such as overhead cables, and if the site is unsafe the driver cannot unload there; the company then tries to agree another drop-off point. Next day products come with DX couriers to your door and need a signature.
Click and Collect
Collection is free at all branches. If the products are in stock, your order is ready in one working hour and you wait for the ready-to-collect text. If something is not in stock it can take three to five working days. Bring the text, your order number and photo ID such as a driving licence, passport or bank card. Someone else can collect for you with the forwarded confirmation email and their own ID. The branch holds an order for five working days and then cancels it.
You can also split an order between collection and delivery, or between several branches. Payment is taken for the whole order.

Returns
The shop takes back goods in resellable condition within 14 days of purchase. You arrange it by email or phone with your order number. Perishable items such as cement and plaster are not accepted. The minimum charge for the collection service is 15% of the order value and can be more depending on location and product, and the refund follows within seven working days. A separate FAQ entry says returned goods must be in their original condition within 30 days of delivery and that a restocking charge may be deducted from the refund. Ask customer services which rule applies to your order before you book a collection.
Using cashback
Open the Travis Perkins page at daily cashback, where the current rate (1.5%) and the current offers are listed with the date they were last checked. Press the shop button there, then shop and pay as usual. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once Travis Perkins has reported the order. A returned item reduces the cashback for it.
Practical tips
- If your basket sits just under £150, compare the £30 delivery fee with free Click and Collect or with adding the missing items.
- Anyone can buy without an account, but a trade account gives access to trade prices.
- Check stock for your postcode on the product page before you choose delivery or collection.
- Finish the order in one visit and pause your ad blocker on the shop, since either can break the click.
