FYTA worldwide: shipping rates for the UK, the EU and beyond, plus the 100-day return
FYTA is a Berlin company that makes smart plant sensors, such as the FYTA Beam, and an app that tells you when a plant needs water or light. Its online shop at fyta.de ships worldwide, which is unusual for a small hardware brand. We read the shipping policy and the withdrawal terms in October 2026. This guide is for readers in the UK, the US and elsewhere who want to know what delivery costs and how long it takes.
Where FYTA delivers
The shop says orders go within Germany, within Europe and outside Europe. The country selector on the site lists well over 200 destinations, each with a local currency, among them the United States with USD, the United Kingdom with GBP, Canada with CAD, Australia with AUD and Switzerland with CHF. The shipping policy itself states its rates in euro. Which currency your basket shows may follow the selector, so compare the final total at checkout. The shop dispatches from Monday to Friday except on public holidays.
Shipping rates by region
The shipping policy lists a flat price by region:
| Region | Shipping | Delivery time |
|---|---|---|
| Within Germany | 4.50 EUR shipping | 2 to 4 working days |
| Within the EU | 7.00 EUR shipping | 7 to 10 working days |
| United Kingdom | 15.00 EUR shipping | about 2 weeks |
| Other European countries outside the EU | 10.00 EUR shipping | about 2 weeks |
| Rest of the world | 30.00 EUR shipping | about 3 weeks |
Shipping is charged once per order, however many items you buy. The shop explains that the fee covers only part of its real packing and shipping cost. The policy names no free-shipping threshold.
VAT and import costs
For shipments outside the EU, the shop does not charge VAT. Any import charges that arise in your country are paid by the recipient and are not part of the shipping price. That covers customs duty and import VAT in the UK, the US and elsewhere. We cannot tell you how much that is, because it depends on your country and the value of the parcel.
Payment
The shipping page lists PayPal, PayPal Express, credit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Returns: 100 days
FYTA gives a withdrawal period of 100 days from the day you receive the last item, far longer than the usual 14 days. You write to the shop at the Berlin address or by email to the returns team and give your order number. A simple, clear message is enough, and the shop provides sample text and an online return flow. After you tell the shop, you send the goods back within 14 days. The refund of all your payments, including the cheapest standard delivery, follows within 14 days of your notice and goes to the original payment method. You bear the direct cost of the return shipping, which is worth checking for a parcel that travelled across the world. You only owe compensation for a loss in value caused by handling beyond what is needed to check the product.
Using cashback
On the FYTA page at daily cashback you find the current rate (2%) and the offers we found, with the date of the last check. Press the shop button and order as usual. The cashback shows as pending in your free account and becomes confirmed once FYTA has reported the order. With a 100-day return period, confirmation can take longer than at other shops. A returned item reduces the amount by its share.
Practical tips
- Shipping is charged per order. For the UK or the rest of the world, one combined order is clearly cheaper than two.
- Outside the EU, set aside a sum for import charges, since the shop does not include them.
- Finish in one visit and pause your ad blocker on the shop.
