Britt's Superfoods: frozen delivery, shipping prices, guarantee and cashback
Britt's Superfoods grows wheatgrass, barley grass, kale and beetroot on its own farm in Northamptonshire and sells the juice frozen in sachets. Because the parcels have to stay frozen, delivery works differently from an ordinary online shop. This guide covers delivery days, shipping prices, the money-back guarantee and what happens if you cancel.
How frozen delivery works
For frozen orders the shop uses DHL Express in the UK. Most parcels arrive the next working day, some areas need one to two working days. The juices travel in insulated packaging that keeps them frozen until the evening of the delivery day, and you should put them into the freezer straight away. In areas where delivery takes longer than 48 hours the shop cannot promise a fully frozen arrival, but says the juice will still be fresh and can go back into the freezer. A signature is normally needed, so give an address where someone can accept the parcel.
Choosing your delivery day
You pick the delivery day at checkout. UK deliveries run Tuesday to Friday. An order placed Monday to Thursday before 11am can ship the same day for next day delivery, while orders after Thursday 11am, on Friday or at the weekend go out the following week on the day you chose. For European countries, deliveries are possible on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and orders placed Monday to Wednesday before 10am (GMT) ship the same day. Some European areas take two days.
Shipping prices and countries
UK shipping is a flat rate of £8.50 for shop customers and £6 for members of the Juice Club subscription. Some places carry a surcharge on top:
- Scottish Highlands and islands: £8 shipping surcharge, and no next day delivery to the offshore islands.
- Isle of Wight: £8 shipping surcharge.
- Isle of Man: £15 shipping surcharge, delivery in one to two days.
- Channel Islands: £12 surcharge for Alderney, Sark and Herm, £35 for Guernsey and Jersey, delivery in two to three days.
The UK shop also ships to France, Sweden and Spain for a flat rate of EUR 32, or EUR 22 as a surcharge for Juice Club members. Germany and Austria have their own site at brittsuperfoods.de, and Denmark has brittsuperfoods.dk. Delivery to the United States is currently unavailable.
Guarantee, cancellation and contact
After a minimum of one month, the 110% health guarantee refunds your first one-month order if you feel no benefit. The claim has to arrive no later than two months after the shipment date, and it does not apply if you simply dislike the taste. A one-off order can be cancelled and refunded as long as the parcel has not left the cool house, so email or phone quickly. The Juice Club is a rolling monthly subscription paid by card.
