Paying in Hero Wars: what you buy, refund rules and cashback for UK players
Hero Wars is a browser and mobile strategy game published by Nexters Global. Nothing is posted to you, so the usual shipping and customs questions do not apply. What matters when you pay real money in it is how in-game items are treated, when the company refunds and what you need to know about accounts and age. This page walks through those points for players in the UK and elsewhere.
What you actually buy
Purchases in Hero Wars are Intra-Project Values and Virtual Items, which means game currency and upgrades that exist only inside the game. The terms give you a limited, revocable licence to use them. They are not property, and they carry no real-world value. Nexters can change the value, cost or availability of such items later, and that does not entitle you to compensation. Price, billing period and other conditions are shown inside the game before you confirm, together with any taxes or fees.
Delivery
Delivery is immediate and in the game, so there is no parcel, no courier and no postage cost. The only practical limit is the sanctions rule in the terms: you may not use the game if the law of any jurisdiction, for instance export controls or trade sanctions, bars you from the service. The version at hero-wars.com is not offered to users in mainland China, who are sent to a regional version.
Refunds for in-game purchases
The rule is that purchases are final and not refundable. Exceptions are where the law demands a refund, or where the store you paid through has its own policy. Beyond that, Nexters may decide to refund at its sole discretion. The terms give three examples: a request within 48 hours of payment, items that have not been used, and a purchase that gave no competitive advantage and did not materially affect other players. Ask in writing at [email protected]. For customers in an EU member state the terms add that the right of withdrawal ends once the items have been provided.

Age and accounts
If you are under 18, or under a higher age of digital consent where you live, a parent or guardian has to consent before you play. The parents guide on the site adds that children under 16 need explicit, informed consent, given by the steps inside the game. Accounts belong to Nexters and cannot be sold, gifted or handed to someone else. Buying or selling items outside the game is also banned, and breaking the rules can lead to warnings, suspension or deleted items. If you close your account, you lose access to everything tied to it without compensation. Accounts that stay inactive for a long time can be deleted.
Cashback with Hero Wars
Open the Hero Wars page at daily cashback and press the button to the game. The page lists the current rate ($5.3), what kind of purchases count and the offers we check every day. Make your purchase in the window that opens. In your free account the cashback first shows as open and becomes confirmed after the publisher has approved the order. If a purchase is refunded, its cashback is deducted again.
Before you spend
- Decide on a monthly limit first, since a refund is only a possibility and not a right.
- Ask for a refund quickly, ideally inside the 48 hours the terms mention, and before the items are used.
- Buy only inside the game, because outside sellers can get your account banned.
- Use only the offers on the Hero Wars page at daily cashback, as a promo code from another site can cost you the cashback.
