Buying a Roamable travel eSIM: email delivery, countries, refunds and cashback
Roamable sells travel eSIMs: mobile data plans that you install on your phone by scanning a QR code, with no physical SIM card involved. That changes the usual shop questions. Nothing is shipped, so what matters is how fast the code arrives, which countries the plans cover, how long a plan lasts and what the refund policy says if something does not work.
Delivery by email, not by post
Every Roamable product is digital. After you pay, the eSIM QR code and the activation instructions are sent to the email address you entered at checkout, usually within minutes. Nothing goes to a postal address, so there are no shipping fees and no customs. Type your email carefully, and if the message does not show up, look in the spam or junk folder. If you have waited 15 minutes and still have nothing, write to [email protected]. Keep the QR code safe, because you need it to activate the plan and to follow your data usage.
Which countries and which currency
Roamable offers single-country, regional and global eSIMs. The plan page tells you which countries a given plan covers. The shop also has a country selector in the header that switches the price currency, for example US dollars for the United States, euros for Germany and Austria, pounds for the United Kingdom and Gibraltar, and yen for Japan. So you can browse in your own currency and still buy a plan for a trip somewhere else.
Activation and validity
You need an eSIM-capable phone and an internet connection to download the profile, so install it on Wi-Fi at home or at the airport. Go to the mobile network settings, choose Add eSIM or Use QR Code and scan the code. You can buy ahead of time and install whenever you like. The validity period starts when you connect to a local network at your destination. Plans run between 1 and 30 days according to the FAQ, and you can top up with more data from your Roamable account.
| Good to know | Roamable |
|---|---|
| Delivery | Email with QR code, usually within minutes |
| Shipping | None, everything is digital |
| Plan length | 1 to 30 days, starts on first connection |
| Phone number | Most plans are data only |
| Transfer to another phone | Not possible |
Most plans are data only, so calls and texts need an app such as WhatsApp or FaceTime. Your normal SIM can stay active alongside the eSIM, and an eSIM cannot be moved to another phone or reinstalled after you delete it.
Refunds and cancellations
The refund policy promises a full refund if the eSIM cannot be used because of a technical problem and no data has been consumed. That also applies when the eSIM is installed but unused, and when your device turns out not to be supported. The money is usually released right away and should reach your account within 5 business days, depending on your bank. To ask for it, email [email protected] with your order number and a short description. Billing disputes should be reported within 14 days of purchase. The FAQ words it more narrowly, as unused and no activation attempted, so test that your phone supports eSIM before you buy.
Cashback through daily cashback
Open the Roamable page at daily cashback, press the button to the shop and buy your plan there. Your cashback (2.5%) first shows as pending and turns confirmed after Roamable has reported the order. A refunded plan reduces the cashback again. Current offers are on the shop page and we check them daily. As of October 2026.
