Holiday Extras: airport parking, Flextras cancellation and cashback
Holiday Extras sells the things around a flight: airport parking, airport hotels, lounges, transfers, travel insurance and car hire, mainly at UK airports. There is no parcel to track, so what counts is how the booking works, what you can change and what happens if your plans do not hold. Prices on the UK site are in pounds.
What you can book and where
The main menu lists parking, hotels, lounges, transfers, travel insurance and car hire. Parking covers all major UK airports such as Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Glasgow, plus Canada and USA pages. The site also has a Holiday Extras Europe menu with country versions for Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, Spain, France, Luxembourg, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia and Sweden. You book online, and the voucher and booking details are managed in your account under My bookings.
Parking options and prices
The parking page names three main types. Park and Ride is usually the cheapest, with a 10 to 30 minute transfer. On-airport parking is the shortest walk. Meet and Greet means you leave the car with a driver at a drop-off point near the terminal. The shop writes that parking starts from £5 per day and that booking in advance can bring a discount of up to 70 percent compared with turning up. Hotel and parking packages start at £33, which the page works out as £4.12 per day for 8 days of parking plus a night before the flight. For the best choice and price, book at least a month ahead.
Flexible booking with Flextras
Flextras is the shop's cancel and amend policy. Cancel within 7 days of booking and you get a voucher for the full amount, which you can swap for a cash refund within 14 days of issue. Cancel after those 7 days and the voucher is also the full amount, but a cash refund within 14 days costs £10, which stays in your account for the next booking. You can change dates or car park, or cancel for a voucher, up to 2 hours before the booked arrival time. A higher new price means you pay the difference, a lower one is refunded to your card. The cheaper Saver option allows the same changes up to arrival, but you only get a voucher for the same product and no cash refund. No cash refund is possible on the arrival date.
Some parking operators, notably at Manchester, Stansted and East Midlands, only offer free cancellation until midnight 4 days before arrival, so read the product details. Another page on the site says parking can be cancelled free in two clicks up to the day the booking starts, so use the rules shown in your basket as the final word.
Price promise
Under the Never Beaten on Price policy, if you find exactly the same product from the same supplier cheaper within 24 hours of paying, the shop matches it by refunding the difference.

Using cashback
Open the Holiday Extras page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 1%) and the offers are listed with the date they were last checked. Press the shop button, then book and pay as usual. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once Holiday Extras has reported the booking. If a booking is cancelled, the cashback for it is deducted.
Practical tips
- Compare Park and Ride with a hotel and parking package, because the package can cost less than parking alone for the same trip.
- Check the flex level in the basket, since Saver and non-flexible deals follow stricter rules.
- Finish the booking in one visit and pause your ad blocker, since either can break the click.
