Simbye eSIM: countries, plan length, refunds and cashback
Simbye sells travel eSIMs, so nothing is shipped. You buy online, get a QR code, and the plan starts when your phone connects abroad. The questions that matter before you pay are where the eSIMs work, how long they last, what happens if the connection fails and when you can get your money back.
Where Simbye eSIMs work
The shop offers plans for more than 190 countries. Popular destinations on the start page are Turkey, the United States, Thailand, Japan, Spain, Italy, Greece, Morocco, Egypt, Albania and Australia. There are also regional plans for Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, South America, the Middle East and a worldwide plan. The site is available in 13 languages, and the currency menu includes euro, US dollar, British pound, Swiss franc, Polish zloty and several more.
Delivery: a QR code instead of a parcel
After payment the QR code arrives by email straight away, and it is also stored in your customer account. Install it at home on WiFi, which takes under a minute according to the FAQ. The plan does not start counting until your phone connects to a local network at the destination. Before that the eSIM stays valid for 180 days.
Plan length and data
The FAQ describes prepaid plans from 1 GB up to unlimited, valid for 7 to 90 days. Unlimited plans follow a fair use rule of 2 GB of fast data per day, after which speed is reduced until the next 24-hour cycle. For frequent travellers there is a Custom eSIM in the Simbye app: up to 10 countries, 5 to 50 GB and 30 to 365 days. When your data runs out you top up with the same eSIM, no new install is needed.
Things to know before buying
- You need an eSIM phone. The shop names iPhone XS and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer and Google Pixel 3 and newer as examples.
- An eSIM cannot be moved to another phone once it is installed.
- Data roaming must be switched on for the Simbye line. The shop says this does not create roaming charges.
- Standard plans are data only. Some destinations have separate plans with calls and a phone number, shown with a call icon on the start page.
- Hotspot sharing is allowed and counts against your data.
Refunds
The refund policy was last updated on 15 September 2026. An eSIM you have not installed, activated or used is refunded in full if you ask within 30 days of purchase. If the eSIM fails because of a problem on the side of Simbye or the network operator, you can get a partial or full refund even after installation. Requests are accepted for up to 180 days. Top-ups that have been applied to the eSIM are not refundable, and a used eSIM generally is not either, unless a network outage is proven. Send your order number to [email protected]. Money usually reaches your original payment method in 5 to 10 business days, PayPal refunds in 24 to 48 hours.

Using cashback
Open the Simbye page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 10%) and the offers we check every day are listed. Press the shop button and buy your eSIM in the same visit. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once Simbye has reported the order. A refunded order is deducted again. Keep other cashback and voucher sites closed while you shop, because a code from another site can cost you the cashback.
As of October 2026.
