Buying from Ottocast: shipping to Europe, duties, returns and cashback
Ottocast sells wireless CarPlay and Android Auto adapters, plug-in car screens and some car accessories. The shop is run from the US and prices are shown in US dollars, but its shipping page lists delivery windows for dozens of European countries. Here is what the shop itself says about shipping, duties, returns and warranty before you order.
Shipping options and fees
Ottocast offers two methods. Standard Shipping costs $5.99 and takes an estimated 10 to 15 days. Expedited Shipping costs $10 and takes an estimated 8 to 14 days. Both estimates vary by destination and local carrier, and they count from dispatch, not from the moment you pay.
Before dispatch, the shop needs 1 to 2 business days to process an order, excluding weekends and public holidays. That can take longer if the address is incomplete or the order is held for a payment security check. After the label is created, tracking updates can take 24 to 72 hours to show up.
Delivery windows for Europe
The shipping page gives a separate window in days after dispatch for each European country. A few examples:

The same list covers Czech Republic, Slovakia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania and Belarus. The shop adds that islands, remote areas and rural addresses can take longer, that Nordic countries may see seasonal slowdowns, and that customs processing can delay parcels to non-EU countries such as Switzerland, Norway, Serbia, Ukraine and Belarus.
Duties, taxes and delivery attempts
Import duties, customs fees and local taxes may apply once the parcel reaches your country, and the shop says the recipient is responsible for them. For destinations such as Brazil, India and Mexico, where duties can exceed 10%, the buyer pays any clearance charges. Couriers may deliver without a signature and leave the parcel in a place they consider safe, so check the address carefully. After failed delivery attempts with no one to receive the parcel, a logistics fee of 10% of the item amount may be charged.
Returns, cancellations and warranty
You can cancel for free within 12 hours of payment if the order has not shipped. After that, and before shipping, the fee is 5% of the order subtotal with a minimum of $5. An order that has already shipped cannot be cancelled, but you can return it.
Ottocast accepts return requests within 30 days of delivery. The product must be undamaged and sent back with its original packaging, accessories, cables and documentation. Write to [email protected] first and wait for instructions, because unrequested returns are not accepted. For a change of mind, you pay return shipping and the original shipping charge is not refunded. If the box is opened but everything is in like-new condition, a restocking fee of 5% of the subtotal, minimum $5, is deducted. A confirmed defect or a shop error is refunded in full with a prepaid return label.
Main devices such as the wireless adapters, OttoSafe Cam, screens and Car TV Mate carry a 12-month limited warranty, accessories 6 months. If the price on ottocast.com drops within 30 days of your purchase, you can ask for the difference back, once per order.

Using cashback
Open the Ottocast page at daily cashback, where the current rate is shown (4%). Press the shop button there, then shop and pay as usual. In your free account the cashback first shows as open and becomes confirmed after Ottocast has reported the order. If you send an item back, the cashback for it is deducted. A click on another cashback or voucher site during the same visit can replace the first one, so keep those closed.
Practical tips
- Check compatibility with your car before ordering, because a return for incompatibility is treated as a change of mind and you pay shipping.
- Look at the Europe table for your country and add the 1 to 2 days of processing.
- Keep the box and accessories until you are sure the device works.
- Ask the shop about duties if you live outside the EU.
