Shopping at designwebstore: furniture shipping to Germany, the EU and Switzerland, returns and cashback

· 2026-10-08

designwebstore from Haan near Dusseldorf sells designer furniture and lighting from makers such as Kartell, Moroso, Mox and Nils Holger Moormann. Furniture is bulky, so shipping and returns matter more than in most shops. The shop delivers inside Germany, to EU countries and to Switzerland, and it publishes a separate rate table for each region.

Shipping inside Germany

In Germany, shipping costs 4,95 euros for orders under 50 euros. From 50 euros the delivery is free. The prices include statutory VAT. Delivery takes 3 to 5 days unless the offer states another period, and bulky or delicate furniture can take longer because of the extra packing and freight effort. No parcels are delivered on Sundays and public holidays.

Shipping abroad

Outside Germany, the shop charges by gross order value. The regions are treated differently:

  • EU countries except Benelux, Denmark and Austria: 12,00 euros shipping up to a goods value of 100 euros, islands excluded. Above that, shipping costs 9 percent of the gross goods value.
  • Benelux, Denmark and Austria: 12,00 euros shipping up to 100 euros of goods. Above that, shipping costs 5 percent of the gross goods value.
  • Switzerland: shipping costs 8 percent of the gross goods value.

For bulky goods sent by freight, the shop lists nearly the same rates. The only difference is that Benelux, Denmark and Austria pay 10,00 euros shipping for goods up to 100 euros. Bulky items are marked as such in the product description. Deliveries abroad take 5 to 10 days after the contract is made, and if you pay in advance the clock starts when you send the payment.

Returns

You may withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving reasons. The period starts when you or a person named by you receives the goods. You bear the direct cost of returning the goods, both for parcels and for items that cannot be sent as a parcel. For those bulky items the shop estimates the cost at up to about 80 euros. Pick-up at the showroom in Haan is possible, and no shipping costs are charged then.

Payment

The shop accepts prepayment by bank transfer, direct debit, PayPal and PayPal Express, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, JCB, Maestro and Carte Bleue), Sofort Ueberweisung and cash at pick-up. Payment on invoice is possible only for public authorities and companies, with 30 days to pay. For prepayment by bank transfer, many items carry a discount. PayPal is excluded from that discount.

Using cashback

Open the designwebstore page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 3%) is shown. Press the shop button and order as usual. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once the shop has reported the order. A returned item reduces the cashback for that item.

Tips

  • Outside Germany, a basket just above 100 euros switches from a flat fee to a percentage. Look at the total shipping line in the cart before you pay.
  • Orders for pick-up in Haan avoid shipping entirely.
  • Plan the return before you buy. Bulky furniture can cost a lot to send back.
