Using Shippn: package forwarding, costs, delivery time and cashback
Shippn is not a store. It is a package forwarding service: you get a local address from a host in another country, order from stores there that will not ship to you, and Shippn sends the parcel on to your door. It says you can shop in more than 37 countries. Since the rules are about forwarding rather than a basket, this guide covers how the service works, what drives the price, how long it takes and what happens with customs and returns.
How the service works
You pick the country you want to shop from and get a local address from a host there. You order from a store in that country and have it delivered to the host. The host receives and inspects the parcel, and once you confirm the order in your dashboard, the host ships it internationally to you. The calculator lists the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland and many more as countries you can shop from, and the list of destinations includes Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The service only works for local purchases: a store has to deliver within the host's country, and international shipments sent to the host are rejected automatically.
What the shipping costs depend on
The shipping fee is calculated from the billable weight, which is the actual or the volumetric weight, whichever is greater, and it varies by destination country. Shippn says it agrees prices with carrier companies. You do not have to enter dimensions to get an estimate, but doing so makes the quote more accurate. The host weighs and measures the parcel when it arrives, and you pay according to the real figures. Oversized parcels, above 70 kg with a single side over 120 cm, get a fixed extra charge. Insurance is mandatory and cannot be removed from a shipment.
If you buy from several stores, you can combine parcels in your Mailbox before shipping. A consolidation fee of $5 per parcel is added to the shipping amount, and a higher first estimate is corrected afterwards, with any excess refunded.
Delivery time
Most hosts ship within 24 hours after you place the shipping order, and delivery is expected within 1 to 5 business days by express carriers. You can follow the shipment through Shippn. A parcel can wait at the host for a maximum of 21 days. After that it can be disposed of, and Shippn takes no responsibility for it.
Customs, duties and rules
The prices shown in the calculator exclude customs duties, import taxes and local VAT. They are fixed after the parcel arrives at the host's address and has been classified, and then you either pay through Shippn or handle customs clearance yourself with the courier or authority. Gifts cannot be declared as gifts, the real value is declared, and you may be asked for the real cost of the items by customs. Delivery goes to residential or business addresses, not to a PO box or another forwarder's warehouse. Items bought with gift cards are not shipped, and rental items are not supported either. Shippn also keeps a list of prohibited items.
Returns and claims
To send an item back to the store, request a return label from the merchant and share it with your host. Shippn charges a $10 return processing fee for the host's time and the return shipping, which it invoices to you. For Buy For Me orders, Shippn works with the host to get the label, and the Buy For Me fee is not refundable. A claim for a lost or damaged parcel can be opened within 20 days after the carrier accepts the shipment.

Using cashback
Open the Shippn page at daily cashback, where you find the current rate ($2.5) and the offers of the service, which we check daily. Press the shop button and sign up or order as usual. Your cashback first appears as open in your free account and turns confirmed once Shippn has reported the order. Cancelled or returned orders reduce the amount, and a voucher code from another site can cost you the cashback.
Practical tips
- Get a quote before you buy, because the shipping fee depends on weight and destination.
- Confirm your shipment within 21 days or the host may dispose of the parcel.
- Check the prohibited items list before you order, and ask support if you are unsure.
- Keep other cashback or voucher tabs closed while you sign up.
