SmartCredit: membership, trial, cancellation and cashback
SmartCredit is a credit score and credit report service with monitoring tools. Instead of shipping, the points that count are how the membership is billed, what the trial includes, how you cancel and what the service does and does not promise. The site offers English (USA) and Spanish.
What the membership includes
The service is built around three tools. ScoreTracker monitors your Credit Score, Auto Score, Insurance Score and Hiring Risk Score. ScoreBuilder shows negative items on your credit report and gives you Action buttons to report inaccuracies directly to the financial institutions and creditors. ScoreBoost is a simulator that shows how credit card spending and payments could move your score. Money Manager collects your online banking accounts for daily transactions and alerts.
The credit score is the Vantage 3.0 score created by Experian, TransUnion and Equifax. You get it with the update of your 1B report, and the 3B report with all three scores is available as an option, for which additional fees may apply. The data of the Smart Credit Report comes from TransUnion. Updating your report or your 3B scores is a consumer inquiry that does not appear on your credit report and does not hurt your score.
Plans, trial and billing
The plans and their prices are shown when you sign up. If your plan includes a trial period, you get full access to the features, although the number of Actions and score updates may be limited. After the trial, the monthly membership fee is billed according to the plan you chose. The membership fee covers the scores and the monitoring, while everything else, including Actions, is free. Upgraded plans bring unlimited report updates, score updates and Actions, and some include updates of the 3B report. A fraud insurance of up to $1,000,000 for identity fraud expenses is part of some memberships, but the FAQ points out it may not be available with certain memberships, so check the plan before you pay.
Cancelling
You can cancel the membership at any time without further obligation or cost. Cancelling stops additional charges immediately. If you are in a trial period, you can cancel inside it without cost. You cancel from your account by following the cancellation steps, and you can reactivate later.
Support and what to expect
Members contact customer service through the Contact Us form in the account. For security reasons the service does not accept email, and other questions go to the phone number on the FAQ page. The service states that scores shown are estimates and that individual results and speed of results may vary and are not guaranteed. ScoreBoost is a simulator for educational purposes, not credit repair. Alerts are not guaranteed either, so keep them switched on in your phone and check your spam folder.

Using cashback
Open the SmartCredit page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to $7.5) and the offers we check every day are listed. Press the shop button and sign up as normal. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once SmartCredit has reported the signup. If the membership is cancelled or refunded, the cashback for it is deducted. A code from another site can cancel the cashback, so use only the offers on the page.
Practical tips
- Note the date the trial ends so that you can cancel before the first monthly fee if you do not want to continue.
- Read the plan description for the credit report and score options before you sign up.
- Finish the signup in one visit and pause your ad blocker on the shop.
As of October 2026. Plans can change, so check the signup page before you pay.
