Buying at Startselect: digital codes, payment methods, fees and refunds
Startselect B.V. sells digital codes: gift cards for PlayStation, Steam, Xbox, Nintendo and Apple, Netflix and Spotify top-ups, game points and similar products. Nothing is posted, so the questions that matter are different from a normal shop: how fast the code arrives, which payment methods work in your country, what fees apply and when an order can be cancelled. The answers below come from the shop's own help centre, read in its Finnish version.
Delivery of the code
You pick a product, go through the order and receive the digital code by email straight away. The shop describes the process as Start, Select, Play. There is no shipping and no delivery country in the usual sense. The shop does run country versions, though, and a link on the page lets you switch country and language. It adds that some offers and features may not be available in every country, so check the product page of the country you use.
Payment methods and fees
The shop offers a long list: credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay (Apple devices with Safari only), Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Klarna Pay Later, bank transfer, and national methods such as iDEAL, Bancontact, BLIK, Twint, Swish, Vipps, MobilePay, Paytrail and Multibanco. Most are processed immediately. Bank transfer takes 1 to 5 working days and Sofort 2 to 10 working days.
Neteller, Paysafecard, Rapid Transfer and Skrill are not available if you shop from Austria, France, Great Britain, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal or Spain. Startselect also states that it may charge service or transaction fees, which differ by product and payment method. The amount is shown during checkout, before you confirm.
Cancelling and refunds
A purchase can be cancelled only if three conditions are met: the 14-day cancellation period has not ended, the code has not been redeemed, and the publisher of the product allows returns. The product page says whether it does. If you qualify, you request the refund on the cancellation page with the email address used for the order.
The money goes back by the same payment method as far as possible. Most methods take 1 to 5 working days, PayPal 24 hours and Sofort 2 to 10 working days. For card payments and some wallets the shop usually cancels the transaction, so the amount is never charged.

Warranty and support
The shop calls itself an authorised seller and says it is responsible for delivering the ordered code correctly. If an error appears when you redeem, the help centre has a page per platform, for example Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo, and the shop says nearly all problems can be solved at once. Customer service is open around the clock and the page promises an answer within an hour. Always name the email address or order number you used.
Cashback with daily cashback
Open the Startselect page at daily cashback, where current offers and promotions are listed and checked by us daily. The rate shows as up to 3.5%. Press the button and place the order in the same session. In your free account the cashback shows as open and turns confirmed after Startselect has reported the order. If an order is cancelled or refunded, the cashback is removed. A discount code from another site can replace the tracking and cost you the cashback.
