Samurai Museum Berlin shop: tickets by email, EU shipping and cancellation
The Samurai Museum Berlin sits in Auguststrasse in the Mitte district and shows the Peter Janssen Collection of Japanese armour. Its online shop sells tickets, guided tours, events and a few products such as exhibition catalogues. For visitors travelling to Berlin from abroad the practical questions are how the tickets reach you, what shipping costs for goods outside Germany and whether a booking can be undone.
Tickets by email
Tickets are delivered by email at no shipping cost. The shop sends them within a few minutes after your payment is confirmed, and it suggests you check the spam folder if nothing arrives. That makes the shop usable from any country, because you do not need a postal delivery. The ticket range includes a timed-slot ticket for a day and time you choose, a flex ticket for one visit, a guided tour with ticket (60 minutes, recommended from age 12), group tickets from 10 people, school class tickets, children's birthdays and events. The shop advertises early-bird and online prices.
Shipping of products
| Destination | Standard shipping cost |
|---|---|
| Germany | 5.95 € shipping |
| EU countries | 15.95 € shipping |
| Other countries | Possible on request, individual shipping cost |
The shop sends goods within Germany and the EU. For other countries you ask first and receive an individual shipping quote. Goods leave within 3 working days after the payment arrives, or after the order confirmation when you buy on invoice or by direct debit. Prices include German VAT. Shipping is added on top for products.
Payment
The shop uses PayPal Plus. That covers PayPal itself, purchase on invoice and credit card, and a PayPal account is not needed for invoice or card. Bank transfer is possible too, but the payment can take up to three days.
Withdrawal and returns
For products, the shop gives a withdrawal period of two weeks without stating a reason, by text form such as email or by sending the item back. The exception matters for tickets: the right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services with a specific date or period, so timed tickets cannot be withdrawn. If you do withdraw, you pay return shipping when the item matches your order and its price is at most 40 €. Above that price the return is free for you, as long as you have paid. There is a withdrawal form on the shop's page.
Cashback with daily cashback
Open the Samurai Museum page at daily cashback, where current offers are listed and checked every day. Press the shop button and book as usual. Your cashback (up to 10.01%) first shows as open in your free account and turns confirmed after the museum shop has reported the order. A refunded order reduces the cashback for it.
Good to know
- Choose your date carefully, since a timed ticket cannot be withdrawn.
- The museum is open daily from 10 am to 7 pm, and you can reach it on +49 30 62975635.
- The shop page can be switched between German and English.
- Keep other cashback or voucher tabs closed while you shop, because a later click can replace the first one.
