Gigasport from abroad: 13 delivery countries, country shops and returns
Gigasport is an Austrian sports retailer from Graz with an online shop that serves several European markets. If you live outside Austria, the main question is which of its shops to use and what shipping and returns cost for your country. The help pages answer that fairly clearly, and we summarise them here.
Countries Gigasport ships to
The shop lists thirteen destination countries: Austria, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Croatia, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, the Czech Republic and Hungary. Delivery goes to your home, an office or any other address in those countries. Orders to Belgium, Croatia, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Hungary go through the Austrian shop. For Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland and Spain you switch to the local country shop, for example gigasport.de or gigasport.ch.
Shipping cost by market
| Market | Shipping cost |
|---|---|
| Austria | 3.95 € shipping, free from 129 € |
| Belgium, Croatia, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Hungary | 6.95 € shipping |
| Germany, France, Italy, Spain | 3.95 € shipping, free from 149 € |
| Switzerland | 3.95 CHF shipping, free from 149 CHF |
A minimum order value of 39 € (39 CHF in Switzerland) applies. Bulky goods have their own price: 69 € for the Austrian shop countries, 99 € to Germany and 119 CHF to Switzerland. Shipping an e-cargo bike costs between 119 € and 139 €. The Swiss page adds that customs charges are included in the price.
How long delivery takes
The shop expects your items within 3 to 6 working days. Bulky goods sent by freight forwarder can take up to 10 working days. Carriers differ by market: Austrian Post inside Austria, DHL to Germany, Swiss Post in Switzerland. Parcels to the other EU countries travel with partners of Austrian Post. If goods reach the warehouse at different times, the shop may send partial deliveries.
Returns from abroad
Unused items in new condition can go back within 30 days after receipt. Return shipping is free from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy and Spain, except for freight items. From Belgium, Croatia, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Hungary you pay the return postage yourself under the rules of your local post. Use the return label in the parcel and enclose the return slip; a lost label can be downloaded again. There is no direct exchange for online orders: you return the item and order the replacement again. The refund goes back by the payment method you used and can take up to ten working days, depending on your bank.
Payment
The shop accepts Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, invoice and instalments through Klarna, Klarna instant bank transfer, credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Diners) and PayPal.
Cashback with daily cashback
Open the Gigasport page at daily cashback, where current offers are listed and checked every day. Press the shop button, switch to your country shop if needed and order as usual. Your cashback (up to 1.75%) first appears as open in your free account and is confirmed once Gigasport has reported the order. Returned items reduce the amount.
Practical tips
- Check the free shipping limit of your own market, because it is 129 € in Austria and 149 € elsewhere.
- Keep the cashback click and the order in one browser session and do not open other cashback or voucher sites in between.
- Opening hours of the hotline: Monday to Friday 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, Saturday 9:30 am to 6 pm, +43 316 870-0.
