Buying tyres at pneus.be: delivery, payment, withdrawal and cashback
Pneus.be is the Belgian site of a tyre price comparison platform. It lists offers for tyres, rims, oils and accessories from many retailers, so the answer to "what does delivery cost?" depends on the seller you pick. Here is how ordering, payment, delivery and withdrawal work, taken from the help pages and the withdrawal notice of the site.
A comparison site with two ways to buy
You search with the tyre selector: vehicle type, tyre type and the size as width, height and diameter. After pressing search you can filter by price, brand, seller, reviews and more. There are two ways to order. You can click through to the retailer's own website and order there, or you add the product to the cart and order directly on pneus.be, if the seller is listed on its marketplace.
Once the order is placed, you deal with the retailer. Questions about the order go to the seller, whose details are in the shop information and in your confirmation email.
Delivery: set by each retailer
Every shop on pneus.be has its own delivery options. The product page shows what the shipping costs are for each offer. If you order directly on pneus.be, the delivery and payment terms of each seller are available from the cart. If you click through to a partner, the shipping policy is on the seller's website, usually in the top or bottom menu.
The site points out that it does not carry the transport risk. The retailer stays responsible for everything about your order, including delivery problems. The site shows the Belgian offer in French and Dutch, and it does not give one delivery time or one list of countries. Look at the offer you want.
| Topic | How it works at pneus.be |
|---|---|
| Shipping costs | Shown per offer on the product page |
| Delivery time | Set by the retailer |
| Responsibility for delivery | The retailer, not pneus.be |
| Withdrawal | 14 days from receipt of the goods |
Payment
The payment methods depend on the seller and are shown next to each offer. Three are described in the help pages. With bank transfer you get the seller's account details and the total on a thank-you page and by email, and the order is only processed after the payment is confirmed. With a credit card you are redirected to the seller's payment page and come back to pneus.be afterwards. With PayPal or a similar online service you confirm the order on the provider's platform.
Tracking your order
After the order you get a confirmation email with an eight-digit order number. With it you can open the tracking form and see the order date, the status, the payment date, the carrier name and the tracking number.
Withdrawal and refund
As a consumer you can withdraw from the contract within fourteen days without giving a reason. The period starts when you or a person you named takes the goods. For several deliveries, it starts with the last one. You tell the operator, TyresNET GmbH in Munich, by a clear statement, for example by letter or email. It is enough to send it before the period ends.
After a withdrawal, the refund follows within fourteen days of the notice. It includes the delivery costs, except the extra costs of a more expensive delivery method than the standard one. The money goes back by the payment method you used, without fee. According to the notice, the goods are collected on site and the return shipping costs are covered by the seller. Loss of value is only charged if you handled the goods more than needed to check them. Still, check the terms of the retailer you chose when you buy from a partner shop.
Cashback at pneus.be
Open the pneus.be page at daily cashback and press the shop button. The current rate is up to 1.25%, and the offers listed there are checked daily. Then search and order as usual. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed after pneus.be has reported the order, normally once the withdrawal period has passed. A returned order is deducted again, and a code from another site can cost you the cashback.
