HopeGoo: how flight booking, payment, refunds and changes work
HopeGoo is a travel booking platform run by HOPEGOO (HONGKONG) LIMITED, which lists a travel agent license number on its pages. You can book flights, hotels, trains and attractions there, with a focus on trips to China and Hong Kong. Nothing is shipped, so the points that count are payment, ticket price changes, refunds and changes. This guide goes through them and ends with the cashback steps.
What you can book
The shop describes itself as easy booking for flights, hotels, trains and attractions. The homepage mentions more than 1,000 routes, over 100 airlines and, for hotels, over 1.1 million partner properties worldwide. Train pages include the Hong Kong Airport Express. The site has been running since 2004 and promises a 24/7 customer service team. The English version shows prices in the currency selected in the header.
How a flight booking works
You search by departure and arrival airport, dates, passengers and cabin class, pick a flight, enter passenger details exactly as on the ID, confirm and pay. After payment you receive an SMS confirmation and the issued ticket by email. The name, gender and ID number must match the document; if they do not, boarding can be denied, and losses from wrong information are the passenger's responsibility. Avoid duplicate orders for the same passenger and period.
The price shown on the search page can differ from the final one. The actual price is the one displayed at the moment of payment, already converted into the selected currency. After a successful payment, a refund depends on the airline's refund policy. For sudden changes or cancelled flights, contact the airline directly, because HopeGoo only provides ticket information.
Payment
For flights the help center lists PayPal and credit cards that support Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Diners Club. PayPal pays in US dollars, and for international cards you check the accepted currencies before paying. Cash on delivery is not possible, as tickets are bought online through third-party payment platforms. How long an unpaid order is held is shown under My Bookings.
| Topic | What the shop says |
|---|---|
| Payment | PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diners Club |
| Final price | The price shown at the moment of payment |
| Refund | Paid amount minus refund fee, to the original payment platform |
| Changes | Date and time only, same cabin or upgrade |
| Ticket validity | One year from issue |
Refunds and changes
Refund amount equals the amount you paid minus the refund fee, if any. It goes back to the original payment platform, and the processing time depends on the payment method. To request one, open My Bookings, select the order, click Refund the Ticket, review the penalties and submit. You can pick individual passengers. A submitted refund request cannot be revoked. Before you buy, you can open the Fare Rules in the flight details; after buying, the Refund and Change link under the flight shows the schedule. The airline fee is deducted and enforced as the airline sets it.
Only the date and time of an issued ticket can be changed. You cannot change the passenger, the direction, the departure or arrival city or the airline, and the new date must be inside the one-year validity. The change fee is the airline's change fee plus any fare difference, and only changes within the same cabin or an upgrade are allowed. A downgrade is not possible.
Using cashback
Open the HopeGoo page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 0.5%) is shown. Press the shop button, then book as usual. In your free account the cashback first shows as open and becomes confirmed once the shop has reported the booking. A cancelled or refunded booking is deducted again. Use only offers from that page, because a code from another site can cost you the cashback.
Contact
Use the Customer Service page on the site, which is staffed around the clock. As of October 2026.
