Booking Tiqets tickets from abroad: payment methods, free cancellation, refunds and cashback
Tiqets sells tickets for museums, attractions and tours in cities around the world, and it is a digital service: you receive a voucher, not a parcel. For travellers, the questions that count are which payment methods work from your country, how cancellation and refunds are handled and what you need to show at the entrance. We read the Tiqets help centre and the home page in October 2026 and summarised the parts that matter before you book. Tiqets International B.V. is based in Amsterdam.
Where it works and in which language
The website sells tickets for attractions in many countries, and the home page advertises more than 70 million travellers who have booked with Tiqets. The help centre comes in German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese. The header of the site shows the language and the currency; when we opened it, it read EN / EUR. According to the help centre, the website is available in several languages and the default payment methods differ by language version. If your preferred payment method does not show up, change the language through the dropdown menu on the home page.
Payment methods
The help centre lists a long set of methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Diners Club, Discover, JCB, China UnionPay and UnionPay, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay, iDEAL, Bancontact, Carte Bancaire, Multibanco, Sofortüberweisung and GiroPay. Which of them are offered depends on the version of the site you use.
Cancelling and getting a refund
Tiqets offers a free cancellation option for its tickets. If you book a ticket with free cancellation, you can cancel up to 23:59 on the day before your visit date. You do this in the Tiqets app by entering the ticket details in the Wallet tab and tapping Cancel your order, or through the manage booking button in the confirmation email. The home page says that flexible cancellation options exist on all venues, so check on the product page whether the ticket you want includes it before you pay.
Once a refund has been approved, it passes to your bank or card issuer. Tiqets says refunds for iDEAL or Sofort payments usually take two working days, and card refunds two to seven working days. Cancellation fees can apply, and Tiqets says it will tell you by email or phone if they do in your case. For changing the date or time, look for the Amendment policy on the attraction page. If it allows changes, you contact customer service.
Using the ticket
The instructions for each attraction are on its page under Instructions. If there are none, you simply show your voucher at the entrance. Most tickets are not tied to a name. Some attractions ask for an ID that matches the name on the ticket, and that is noted under Important Information on the attraction page.

Using cashback
Open the Tiqets page at daily cashback to see the current rate (up to 3%) and the offers we found, each with the date of the last check. Press the shop button and book as usual. In your free account the cashback shows as open and is confirmed once Tiqets has reported the booking. If you cancel a ticket, the cashback for it is cancelled too.
Tips
- Choose the ticket variant with free cancellation if your plans may change, and note the cut-off at 23:59 the day before.
- Check the attraction page for the ID requirement if the ticket is for someone else.
- Finish the booking in one session without an ad blocker, so the cashback click is not lost.
