Booking with Arangrant: ticketing, change fees, refunds, cashback
Arangrant is a flight consolidator, operated by the US company TripRobotics Inc., that specialises in business class and first class tickets on international routes. You book through agents by phone or chat, and the tickets are issued by the airline. Nothing is shipped, so the points that count are booking and ticketing, cancellation fees, refund timing and the extras you can add. This guide goes through them as the terms state them.
How booking works
Arangrant says its negotiated fares with major airlines allow business class discounts of up to 70 percent, and that agents help with itineraries and are available around the clock by phone and chat. Once you book, you receive an Order Confirmation by email. It is valid for 48 hours, and if full payment and ticket issuance are not completed in that time, the company may cancel the order. The confirmation is not an e-ticket. When payment is received and the booking is ticketed, a separate email brings the e-ticket receipt, which also shows your baggage allowance.
Some round trips or multi-leg itineraries are issued as two or more separate tickets, each under its own airline rules. A change or disruption on one ticket then does not automatically protect the other, so ask the agent whether your trip is a single ticket.
Payment
You pay with a credit or debit card. By giving your card details you authorise the company or its payment provider to charge the full amount, and you may see separate charges for fares and for taxes and fees. Processing fees are quoted in US dollars and converted into your currency at the time of the transaction. The site lets you view prices in several currencies, among them US, Australian and Singapore dollars.
Changes, cancellations and refunds
Whether you can cancel or change depends on the airline's fare rules, and a discounted fare may be partly or completely non-refundable. Some airlines allow free cancellation within 24 hours after ticketing, and Arangrant lists a cancellation within 24 hours of booking at zero service fee. After that, its own processing fees apply per passenger and per ticket, on top of any airline penalty.
For changes or refunds on international flights requested more than 24 hours after booking but before departure, the processing fee is 250 dollars per passenger in economy and 350 dollars in business class. On domestic flights it is 150 dollars in economy and 250 dollars in business. Agent-assisted waivers such as name corrections or no-show exceptions cost 50 dollars per passenger. A name change is usually treated as a cancellation by the airline. A ticket must be cancelled at least 24 hours before departure, and passengers who do not show up may not be eligible for a refund.
Refundable amounts go to the original payment method, and the company says eligible card refunds are issued within 20 business days, not counting your own bank's processing time. Processing fees and support packages are not refundable. If an airline cancels or retimes your flight, you can accept the alternative or ask for a refund under the conditions of carriage, and the processing fee still applies.
Optional extras
The terms describe add-ons such as a Cancel for Any Reason plan, a Flexible Ticket, a Refundable Booking product, seat selection, extra baggage and travel insurance. Read each product's conditions before you add it, because the costs of the Flexible Ticket plan, for example, are non-refundable.
Cashback at Arangrant
The Arangrant page at daily cashback shows the current rate ($12.5) and the offers with the date of the last check. Press the shop button, then book as usual. In your free account the cashback is first open and becomes confirmed once Arangrant has reported the booking. If the ticket is cancelled and refunded, the amount for it is deducted.
Practical tips
- Decide within 24 hours of booking, because a cancellation inside that window carries no service fee.
- Enter names exactly as in the passport, since a correction later counts as a cancellation with fees.
- Finish in one visit and pause your ad blocker, so the click is not lost.
