Surfshark vs CyberGhost: Which VPN Is Better?
Surfshark vs CyberGhost: Which VPN Is Better? For a household with many devices we recommend Surfshark, because its pricing page names unlimited devices, whereas CyberGhost states up to 7 connections at the same time. CyberGhost has the longer trial: up to 45 days on the long plans. Both price lists move with promotions; this is the picture for October 2026.
Surfshark has a shop page with us. CyberGhost is not listed at daily cashback, so you order directly from the provider. That is a real difference in this comparison, since cashback only comes through the Surfshark page.

Cashback with Surfshark
You find Surfshark at Surfshark at daily cashback. It shows the rate of the day and whether new customers, existing customers or renewals are included. For how to subscribe and what happens on renewal and refund, see our guide Subscribing to Surfshark: renewal, money back, cashback.
Before you buy: voucher codes from outside sources can cost you the cashback. Use only codes listed on our shop page. Confirmation arrives once Surfshark has checked the purchase, and a refund within the 30 days takes the cashback with it.
Plans compared
Surfshark sorts its bundles into Starter, One and One+. In the 24-month offer the pricing page shows Starter and One from €2.49 a month with a discount plus 3 extra months, and One+ from €3.99 a month with a discount. The price after the promotion appears in Surfshark's order step.
In its Halloween promotion CyberGhost shows €1.99 a month with a discount for 2 years plus 2 months, billed as €51.74 for the first two years. After that the plan renews at €51.74 a year without the discount, according to the pricing page. The six-month plan costs €6.99 a month and the one-month plan €11.99 a month, both without the multi-year discount.
So in the multi-year offer CyberGhost is ahead on the monthly rate. Whether that is cheaper overall depends on term, promotion and renewal, and that is where a look at both order steps pays off.
Devices, servers and privacy
Surfshark names more than 4,500 servers in 100 countries, CyberGhost servers in over 100 countries with 10 Gbps connections. On privacy both advertise a no-logs policy: Surfshark an audited one, CyberGhost a certified one. Anyone running more than 7 devices, such as a family with a TV, a console and a router, has more room with Surfshark.
Trial period and refunds
Surfshark gives 30 days, CyberGhost up to 45 days on the long plans but only 14 days on the monthly plan. If you want to try first, the longer window serves you better. Remember that a refund normally removes the cashback too, provided you ordered through our page.
How to go about the purchase
Open the shop page, click through to Surfshark and order in the same session. The ad blocker stays off, and you do not open price comparisons or voucher sites in between. In your free account the purchase first shows as pending. For CyberGhost you need none of these steps: you order from the provider as usual and count only the price from its order step.
Before you submit, check the same things on both: term, total amount, renewal price and how to cancel. It takes two minutes and tells you more than any price list.
