vidaXL Austria: shipping fee, pallet delivery, the 14-day withdrawal and return costs
vidaXL is a Dutch furniture, garden and home retailer, and its Austrian shop at vidaxl.at is run by vidaXL Commerce Europe B.V. in Venlo. Many of its products are large and heavy, so delivery method and return costs matter more than the price tag. We read the help centre articles on shipping, withdrawal and refunds on vidaxl.at in October 2026. Other countries have their own vidaXL shops; this guide covers the Austrian one.
Shipping costs
Orders over 80 € ship free. For orders under 80 € a shipping fee of 4.99 € applies. For an extra fee you can add the "Premium Experience" service, which prioritises the handling of your order and promises dispatch within one working day, plus replies from customer service within 12 hours. This priority shipping service costs 4.99 € per order and does not cover the product itself.
Delivery area and times
The shop delivers all over Austria. For Germany and Switzerland the help centre points to separate pages. How long a delivery takes depends on the product and sometimes the destination, and the expected time is shown on every product page. After ordering you find the estimate in your account or in the tracking portal linked in the confirmation email. Orders may arrive in several parcels, and the shop works with several carriers, DPD for parcels and freight forwarders such as Raben for pallets. Large items travel on a pallet; preparing them takes usually 1 to 4 working days, then the carrier calls you to agree a delivery date. The driver needs a road a larger van and forklift can reach and does not carry the pallet into the house.

Withdrawal and returns
As a consumer you have the legal right to withdraw within 14 days from the day after receiving the product, or after the last product if the order has several. Tell vidaXL through chat, the contact form, the withdrawal button in the footer or another clear statement. The product then has to be sent back within 14 days of your notice, preferably in the original packaging, and you provide the carrier name, tracking number and proof of delivery to the return address. You organise and pay for the return, and for bulky items such as furniture this can come to as much as about 350 €. The refund is processed within 14 days of your withdrawal notice, although the shop may wait until the goods arrive or you show proof of dispatch. Some goods, for example perishable products, are excluded.
Payment
The help centre lists bank transfer, credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay and Klarna, with pay now, three interest-free instalments or pay later within 30 days.
Using cashback
Open the vidaXL page at daily cashback to see the current rate (up to 5.5%). Press the shop button and order as usual. In your free account the cashback is pending first and becomes confirmed once vidaXL has reported the order, normally after the withdrawal period. If you return an item, the cashback for it is deducted.
Practical tips
- Before buying a large piece, think about what a return would cost. Return shipping of up to about 350 € is mentioned for bulky goods.
- Check that the delivery address can be reached by a big vehicle, and keep your phone number correct, since the carrier calls.
- Finish the order in one visit and avoid other cashback or voucher sites meanwhile.
