Trek-Expert: delivery prices by country, returns and cashback

Trek-Expert is a sports retailer for hiking, trail running, running, winter sports and more, run by the French company Spacefoot. The Dutch store trek-expert.nl publishes a delivery price for each country it serves, which makes it a good page to read before you order from the UK, Ireland, Switzerland or anywhere else in Europe.

The shipping page lists a carrier and a price per country, often with a cheaper pick-up point option. A selection:

Other destinations include Denmark (DPD, €13.38 shipping), Luxembourg (DPD, €9.99), Portugal (CTT, €9.99), Poland (InPost, €12.11), Czechia (Ceská Posta / Packeta, €10.65), Hungary (€11.78) and Greece (FedEx, €21.99). A large group of countries, mostly in the Balkans and the Baltics plus Turkey, Iceland and Gibraltar, cost €25.99 shipping through the national post. Shipping to Monaco is €7.99 with Colissimo. For France the shop also offers next day Chronopost express for €13.99 shipping.

Some articles add extra delivery costs because of weight or size.

Processing and delivery time

The order cut-off is 15:00 Paris time. The shop needs 1 to 2 working days to process an order, and delivery then takes 2 to 6 working days. The exact time for an article is shown on its product page, just below the add to basket button, and it updates when you pick a size. You can also deliver to a pick-up point, which is often in a local shop.

Returns and refunds

You have 30 days from receiving the order to start a return. The product must be in its original packaging with the labels intact, unworn and unused. Personalised items, for example flocked football shirts or skis with mounted bindings, cannot be returned or exchanged. You open the return in your account or through the return link, enter your order details and the reason, and confirm the conditions.

You pay the return shipping yourself. If a product is faulty or does not match the order and customer service confirms it, the return is covered by a prepaid label. Once your return is accepted you have 15 days to send the items to the returns address in France. The refund follows within 14 days under the legal rules and goes to the original payment method, or to a credit valid for 12 months if you choose that. The shop does not swap sizes or colours directly. You return the item and place a new order.

If a parcel arrives damaged, write soon with photos of the item, the parcel and the shipping label. You get an answer within 48 working hours.

Payment and warranty

All payment methods available for your order are shown in step 4 of the checkout, and some depend on the billing country. The terms add a legal warranty of two years for defects that exist at delivery.

Using cashback

Open the Trek-Expert page at daily cashback, where the current rate is shown as up to 3.5%. Press the shop button, then order and pay as you normally would. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once the shop has approved the order. A returned product reduces the cashback for that item.

Practical tips

  • Compare the home delivery price with the pick-up point price at checkout, which is usually lower.
  • Plan a return before you wear anything, since worn items are not accepted.
  • Use one cashback or voucher site per order, as a later click can replace the first one.
