Timekettle: worldwide shipping, customs, 30-day returns and cashback
Timekettle makes translation earbuds and handheld translators, and its web shop ships to a long list of countries. The shipping page is unusually detailed, with a price and a delivery time for each destination. This guide pulls out what matters if you order from outside the United States, based on the FAQ, shipping policy and return policy on timekettle.co.
Where Timekettle delivers
The FAQ states that the shop supports global shipping. The shipping policy lists countries in Asia, Europe, the Americas, Africa and Oceania, including the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Canada and Australia. Orders going outside the US are shipped from a Hong Kong warehouse, while US customers are served from a US warehouse. Outside the US, P.O. boxes and APO addresses cannot be delivered. In the US, P.O. boxes are possible but APO addresses are not.
Shipping cost and free shipping
Free shipping starts at orders over $119. Below that, standard shipping inside the US is $9.19 and standard shipping to most other countries is $14.19. Express costs $19.19 in the US and $59.99 outside the US. The country table adds local figures, for example:

Delivery time
Orders are normally dispatched within 1 business day, and up to 3 business days around Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the holidays. Standard delivery within the US takes 3 to 7 business days and express 2 to 3. Outside the US, standard takes 8 to 14 business days and express 5 to 7. Alaska, Guam, Hawaii, Rhode Island and the US Virgin Islands may cost extra and take 1 to 2 days longer.

Customs and import fees
Parcels sent outside the United States may be hit with import taxes, customs duties and fees. The recipient pays them, and the shop says it cannot predict the amount and will not reimburse it. If the recipient refuses the package or will not pay, the original shipping fee plus a return charge of at least $45 and the accrued customs fees come off the refund. The shop warns that duties in some countries, Turkey among them, can be high.
Returns and warranty
You have 30 days to return a device. Email [email protected] first and wait for approval, because the shop does not process refunds for unauthorised returns. The device must come back in its original condition, in its original box and in one package. The team answers within 2 business days. Once the parcel arrives, inspection takes up to 5 business days and the refund up to 7 more to reach your payment method. The shop asks for 10 to 15 business days to process a return in total.
If the return is not about a quality problem, you pay the return shipping. For a quality-related claim, the shop covers it after troubleshooting with you, and video is required during that step. A 12-month warranty comes with every purchase. The digital Fish card cannot be returned once released.
Payment
Payment runs mainly through PayPal. The FAQ also lists Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club and Apple Pay, plus Klarna, Shop Pay and Afterpay for instalments.
Using cashback
Open the Timekettle page at daily cashback, where the current rate (5%) and the offers are listed with the date they were last checked. This listing is the US store, so order there. Press the shop button, then shop and pay as you normally would. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once the shop has reported the order. A returned device reduces the cashback for that order.
