Shopping at SmartBuyGlasses: worldwide shipping, returns, cashback
SmartBuyGlasses is an online retailer of designer eyewear, prescription glasses, sunglasses and contact lenses. It is an international company and, according to its shipping FAQ and returns policy on the US site, delivers to almost every country in the world. Here is what that means for delivery, returns and your cashback.
Which countries does it deliver to?
The shop describes itself as an international company delivering to almost every country worldwide. There is no complete country list on the shipping page. Instead it suggests contacting customer service to check that your country is covered, and says that if no shipping option appears for your location, an express courier may be possible on request. The country selector at the bottom of the site switches country, language and currency, for example USA (USD).
Prices and shipping conditions can differ between country versions, so use the version for your own country at checkout. The figures below come from the US site.
Shipping cost and delivery times
Standard shipping is free on orders over $80. Below that, shipping is charged, and the shop shows the price at checkout. Select Standard shipping and it will say FREE next to it once you pass the threshold. Delivery time depends on the method:
- Standard shipping: 8 to 10 working days, depending on location
- Express shipping: 3 to 4 working days, available for selected products
At checkout you see an estimated delivery date for your location. The shop ships from warehouses in Italy, Hong Kong, Australia and the US. In-stock items leave within 24 hours. If an item has to be sourced first, add 5 to 11 working days, shown on the product page. Prescription lenses add processing time: 1 to 3 working days for single vision lenses and 4 to 5 for progressive lenses or lenses with add-ons. To estimate the total, add sourcing, lens processing and shipping.
The shop also runs a Next-Day Delivery collection for orders placed before 12 PM ET. Treat this as a US service and check the conditions for other countries before you order.
Customs and invoices
The shop mentions that some countries require an invoice for customs clearance, so keep the invoice that you can download with your order ID. Check the rules in your own country before ordering from outside it.
Returns
Designer eyewear, prescription glasses and contact lenses can be returned within 100 days of receiving the shipment, for a refund or an exchange. You first submit a return request, and customer service sends an RMA number and the return address. Items must come back in original condition and packaging with tags and accessories, and contact lenses only as sealed boxes. Outward shipping and shipping protection are not refunded, and the return shipping is paid by the customer. The shop recommends recording an unboxing video, which speeds up claims.

In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once the shop has reported the order. A returned item reduces the cashback for that product.
