Shopping at Pearson Germany: shipping by country, withdrawal and cashback
Pearson Germany (pearson.de) is the German web shop of the publisher. It sells university textbooks, English language learning material, eBooks and online learning access. The shop is in German, but it accepts orders from abroad, with some clear exceptions. We read the shipping, payment and returns help pages in October 2026. The terms can change, so check the basket before you pay.
Which countries does pearson.de deliver to?
Pearson says it accepts orders from all over the world, with a warning: because of customs rules and long shipping routes, a delivery date to a foreign country cannot be predicted exactly. Two cases are excluded. Orders to the United Kingdom are no longer delivered because of Brexit, and this applies to digital products as well. Customers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein have to use the Swiss shop at pearson.ch. Books that are not available on pearson.de can be bought in a local bookshop, as the help page suggests.
Shipping costs by destination
Within Germany shipping costs 3,50 € for goods up to 24,99 € and is free from 25,00 €. For Austria the shop charges 8 €, for other EU countries 25 € and for the rest of Europe and overseas 35 €. Shipping for international editions is quoted on request by customer service. The shipping figures are per order.
Delivery time
For books Pearson gives 3 to 5 working days, depending on availability. If a title is not available for a longer time, the items in stock go out straight away and the rest follows later at no extra cost. Goods are shipped by the logistics partner Libri in Hamburg, at the buyer's risk, and the publisher does not insure the parcel against transport damage. Digital products such as eBooks and eLearning access are normally available immediately in your account. A new order can sit under review for up to 48 hours, and your account is not charged until it is confirmed.
Returns
For physical products you can withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason. You can do it online with the withdrawal form. The shop then sends the return instructions. You pay the direct costs of returning the goods, and damaged goods cannot be taken back. Digital content is excluded from withdrawal once it has been started. Complaints about obvious defects have to be made within 8 days of receipt with the invoice.
Payment
The standard payment methods are PayPal and credit card (Mastercard and Visa), handled through the payment provider Cybersource. The help pages also mention payment by invoice, so this option can appear for some orders. Your billing address should match the one on your card statement.

Using cashback
Open the Pearson page at daily cashback, where the current rate (up to 11.5%) and the offers we found are listed with the date they were last checked. Press the shop button, then shop and pay as you normally would. In your free account the cashback shows as pending and becomes confirmed once Pearson has reported the order, normally after the return window. A returned product reduces the amount for that item.
Practical tips
- Add a second book to a German order when you are just below 25 €, since shipping is free from there.
- If you live in the UK, look at pearson.com/en-gb instead, as the German shop will not ship to you.
- Finish the order in one visit and pause your ad blocker on the shop, as either can break the click.
