Shopping at iHoverboard: free UK delivery, returns and cashback
iHoverboard is a UK retailer of hoverboards, electric scooters, e-bikes and related accessories, based in Oldbury in the West Midlands. Most buyers want to know the same few things: what delivery costs, how long it takes and what happens if the product has to go back. This guide covers the UK shop at ihoverboard.co.uk.
Delivery in the UK
The shop says delivery to the UK for e-scooters and hoverboards is free and takes 1 to 3 working days. Electric bikes are also delivered free, by truck, in 1 to 3 working days, and off-road electric scooters come with a free express truck service in the same time. Accessories such as helmets, seats and locks are free to deliver as well, but take about 3 to 10 working days and can arrive separately because they ship from different warehouses.
You get tracking details by email on the day of dispatch, and the courier emails you on delivery day with a one-hour time slot.
| Shipped from | Processing | Transit | Total | Shipping |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| UK warehouse (DHL, DPD or Yodel) | 1 to 2 business days | 1 to 3 business days | 2 to 5 business days | Free shipping |
| European warehouses (DHL or DPD) | 1 to 2 business days | 3 to 7 business days | 4 to 9 business days | Free shipping |
If an item is out of stock in the UK, the shop sends it from a European warehouse, which is why some orders take 4 to 9 working days. Orders placed before 2:00 PM (GMT+1) go out the same day, later orders the next day.
Other countries
The site has a country selector with UK, DE, FR and US versions. The delivery and returns pages quoted here belong to the UK shop, so if you live elsewhere, switch to your own country version and read its policy before ordering.
Transit insurance
The shop is responsible for the safe delivery of your parcel only while it is in transit. Once the parcel has been delivered and received, the shipping insurance no longer applies. Shipping fees are non-refundable, even if you return or cancel.
Returns and refunds
New and unused products can be returned within 30 days of delivery. They must come back in the original packaging and in the same condition, with proof of purchase. The policy also says return requests have to be made within 7 days of delivery, so contact the shop as soon as you decide. Mileage on a returned e-scooter or hoverboard must be below 1 km.
To start a return, email [email protected] with your order number and the reason. The shop then arranges a pre-paid label that you take to your local post office. Please do not post the item back on your own, because the shop does not cover parcels returned independently.
A restocking fee of 15% applies to electric scooters and e-bikes, and 20% to walking pads, hoverboards and kids' scooters, deducted from the refund. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 7 to 14 business days, and your bank may need up to five more days.
If you cancel before dispatch, the refund is made within 3 business days. After dispatch you reject the parcel and the shop helps arrange a return, with a 10% restocking fee plus shipping cost and tariffs.
Faults and warranty
A faulty or damaged item reported within 30 days of delivery can be returned for repair, replacement or refund, and the shop sends a pre-paid label after an email or phone assessment. A technician checks each return, which can take up to 7 working days. Faults that appear after 30 days fall under the 12-month warranty, which the shop quotes from the date of delivery.
Payment and contact
The shop accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and Maestro, plus PayPal. Klarna instalments are also offered. Support is based in Oldbury and reachable by email at [email protected], by phone on +44 1355 720085 and by live chat.
Using cashback
Open the iHoverboard page at daily cashback first, where the current rate (up to 3%) and the latest offers are listed with the date they were last checked. Press the shop button and order as normal. In your free account the cashback shows as open, and it is confirmed once the shop has reported the order. A returned product reduces the amount for that item.
Tips
- Because restocking fees apply, check the size and the riding requirements before you order a scooter or e-bike.
- The shop notes that in the UK an e-scooter may only be ridden on private land with the landowner's permission, not on public roads, cycle paths or pavements.
- Finish the order in one visit and pause your ad blocker, otherwise the cashback click can get lost.
