Ordering from HIAWorkshop: made-to-order wallpaper, shipping in Croatia, returns and cashback
HIAWorkshop is a small studio in Zadar, Croatia, that makes children's wall wallpaper, wall stickers, posters and canvas prints, many of them from its own illustrated collections. Almost everything is made to order, which changes how delivery and returns work compared with a normal webshop. The delivery prices on the shop's pages are written for Croatia, so this guide fits best when the delivery address is in Croatia.
Where HIAWorkshop delivers
The delivery page lists its shipping prices "within Croatia" and the banner at the top of the shop mentions free shipping inside the country. Orders can also be collected in person in Zadar by prior arrangement, at the studio in Ulica Franje Fanceva 81. The delivery page gives prices and times for Croatia only, so if you want a parcel sent abroad, write to [email protected] before you order and ask whether it is possible and what it will cost.
Production time and shipping costs
The delivery time is the production time plus the transit time, counted in working days. Production takes 1 to 5 working days for wall stickers and posters, and 2 to 10 working days for canvas prints and wallpaper. For special projects and new designs the time is agreed before work starts. For prepaid orders the clock starts when the payment is recorded and, where needed, when you have approved the final graphic proof; for cash on delivery it starts after the order is confirmed.
Within Croatia two carriers are offered. With DPD, shipping is free from €100, and below that it costs €4.90 per parcel. With GLS, shipping is free from €150, and below that it costs €5.90 per parcel. An order of exactly €100 counts as free with DPD. Very large formats that do not fit a standard parcel get an individual transport offer before you order. After the parcel is handed to the carrier, delivery takes 1 to 2 working days to larger cities, 1 to 4 to smaller places and up to 10 to some islands.

Returns and exchanges
For standard products bought at a distance you can withdraw within 14 calendar days of receiving them. Send a clear statement using the shop's withdrawal page, email [email protected] or post, and return the product within 14 days of the notice. The shop refunds within 14 days of your statement and also returns the cost of the cheapest standard delivery offered. You get the money back by the original payment method. The direct cost of returning a working product is yours if the shop told you about it before the purchase; otherwise the shop pays.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specification, for example wallpaper cut to your wall's measurements, products with a name or your own photo, and special graphic changes. A product merely being made after the order does not make it custom, so standard catalogue items keep the right. For defects, your rights remain, including for custom and personalised products. If you simply want another motif or format, write to the shop and agree the difference and transport cost in advance.
Payment
The shop accepts MasterCard, Maestro, Visa and Diners cards, bank transfer after an offer by email, and cash on delivery. For amounts over €70 you can pay in 2 to 12 interest-free instalments with Diners and Visa. Card payments run through CorvusPay.
Using cashback
Open the HIAWorkshop page at daily cashback, where the current rate (5%) and the offers are listed with the date they were last checked. Press the shop button, then shop and pay as you normally would. In your free account the cashback first shows as open and becomes confirmed once the shop has reported the order. A returned product reduces the amount for that item.
Practical tips
- Measure the wall twice and add at least 5 cm to width and height for wallpaper, as the shop recommends.
- Ask for a sample before ordering a large wallpaper.
- If you need the order by a date, tell the shop before you order, because production time comes first.
- Finish the order in one visit and pause your ad blocker on the shop, as either can break the cashback click.
