Haushalt-und-Genuss: delivery countries, shipping prices, returns and cashback

Haushalt-und-Genuss.at is an Austrian online supermarket for long-life goods: coffee and tea, tinned food, sweets and snacks, plus cleaning supplies, paper goods and toiletries. The shop is based in Vienna and delivers to 26 other countries. Its terms are written in German, so here is what they say about delivery, shipping prices per parcel and returns.

Where it delivers

The shipping and payment terms say delivery goes to Austria and to Germany, Hungary, Slovenia, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria, France, Croatia, Italy, Monaco, Romania, Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Spain, Ireland, Lithuania, Latvia, Portugal, Greece and Switzerland. Carriers are GLS and Austrian Post. Corsica, the Azores and Madeira, Ceuta and Melilla and parts of Greece have their own lines in the price table.

Shipping costs

Prices are per parcel of up to 8 kg and include VAT. If your order weighs more, the shipping price is added again for each further 8 kg parcel. From the table, with GLS:

  • Austria: 7.99 euros shipping with GLS, 9.90 euros with Austrian Post.
  • Germany: 9.99 euros shipping with GLS.
  • Slovenia and Hungary: 20.99 euros shipping.
  • Belgium, Denmark, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic: 22.99 euros shipping each.
  • France, Italy, Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania: 27.99 euros shipping.
  • Finland and Sweden: 37.99 euros shipping.
  • Estonia, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania and Portugal: 47.99 euros shipping.

The table also has a GENUSS-PLUS variant with slightly lower prices. Ask the shop in advance whether you can use it. For Spain, Greece and Switzerland the price is shown at checkout. Orders of up to 30 euros in goods value carry a small-order surcharge of 5 euros, which falls away above that value.

Delivery time

Unless an offer says otherwise, delivery takes 1 to 3 days within Austria and 1 to 5 days abroad after the contract is concluded. With prepayment the clock starts with your payment order. There is no delivery on Sundays and public holidays. Items with different delivery times are sent together, and the slowest one sets the date.

Payment

You can pay by bank transfer in advance, PayPal (including PayPal Express and card via PayPal), Amazon Pay and Klarna with instalments, invoice, direct debit or instant transfer. Klarna requires a positive credit check.

Returns

You can send back online purchases within 14 days of receipt for a refund or replacement. After that, the item must be unused, undamaged and in the original packaging, and for food it must have been stored at the right temperature with enough shelf life left for resale. Made-to-measure items and fresh products with a very short best-before date, such as those from Ölz, are excluded. Statutory defect rights are not affected. Questions go to [email protected].

Using cashback

Open the Haushalt-und-Genuss page at daily cashback, where the current rate (2.5%) and the latest offers are listed with the date of the last check. Press the shop button and order as usual. In your free account the cashback shows as open and becomes confirmed once the shop has reported the order. A returned item is deducted.
