Shopping at BRoadout: free shipping, international orders, returns and cashback

BRoadout sells camping and outdoor gear from the United States and shows a country and currency picker in its header. Before you fill a cart it helps to know what the free shipping line is, which items are excluded from it and how the 30-day return works.

Shipping and free delivery

Orders to the US ship free from US$99. The shop applies that threshold after promotions and credits are taken off the order total, and the free method is pre-selected at checkout when it applies. Standard shipping usually arrives 3 to 4 business days after the parcel leaves the warehouse.

The delivery estimate and the free shipping offer do not apply to these cases:

  • Alaska, Hawaii and US territories
  • International orders
  • PO boxes and APO addresses
  • Pre-orders and back orders
  • Oversized, hazardous or flammable items that go by ground or freight, for example bikes, kayaks, surfboards, roof boxes and anything with a lithium battery

Ordering from outside the US

The header lets you pick from a long list of countries, including Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, Israel and most EU states. The currencies shown there are USD, EUR, GBP, AUD and CAD. The cart shows the shipping cost for your address. Some brands cannot be shipped outside the US at all because of local rules or brand restrictions, and freight items and battery products stay inside the contiguous US.

Returns, refunds and warranty

New, unopened items can go back for a full refund within 30 days of delivery. Opened items qualify if they are unwashed, unworn, unused and still carry their tags. Clothing and footwear are the exception: they cannot be returned unless they are unusable. BRoadout pays return shipping when the mistake is theirs, such as a wrong or defective item. In other cases you pay the courier. There is no restocking fee.

You start a return by emailing the support team with the order number, the item, the reason and the condition. After approval you receive an authorisation and a return label, and you should not send anything back before that. The shop processes the refund within 48 hours of your request and says the money arrives within 7 business days. The shop also states up to one year of warranty, with free accessories to fix a fault (not for clothing and footwear).

Cashback

Open the BRoadout page at daily cashback, where the current rate is 7.5%, press the shop button and shop as usual. In your free account the cashback first shows as open and turns confirmed once the shop has reported the order. If you return an item, the cashback for it is deducted.

Practical tips

  • Put the free shipping threshold in your mind before you pick small items: a US$99 basket ships free, a US$92 basket does not.
  • Check the product page for oversized or battery items before you plan around the 3 to 4 day estimate.
  • Keep tags on clothing until you are sure, because worn clothing cannot go back.
  • Finish the order in one visit, because a click from another cashback or voucher site can replace the first one.
