EaseUS vs Stellar: Which Data Recovery Is Better?
EaseUS vs Stellar: Which Data Recovery Is Better? Both programs find deleted files on hard drives, SSDs, USB sticks and memory cards, and both let you scan before you pay. For most cases we recommend EaseUS: the free version rescues up to 2 GB, there is a 30-day money-back guarantee, and next to the PC software EaseUS has apps for iPhone and Android and a repair tool for damaged files. Stellar is strong on RAID, BitLocker and optical media. Which tool saves more depends on the case, and nobody can promise a result. Status October 2026.
Scan first, pay later
Both makers advertise trial versions, and both refund rules lean on that. EaseUS says in its policy that it offers comprehensive trials and therefore refunds on technical grounds only. Stellar says you should have downloaded and used the evaluation version, or the refund is excluded. For you that means: download the trial first, scan the affected drive and look at the preview before you buy.

The rule for any data loss: write nothing more to the affected drive, and save rescued files to a different disk. Otherwise you overwrite exactly what you want back.
What the free version covers
EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Free rescues up to 2 GB per the maker page, for example after deletion, formatting, a RAW error, a lost partition, a system crash or a virus. The Pro version recovers unlimited data.
Stellar advertises 1 GB free on its Windows page. Its policy adds that the trial has no functional limits except saving, so you see in advance what can be rescued. For a single case with a few files the smaller free allowance may be enough; for a folder full of photos, 2 GB gives more room.
Features compared
Stellar lists drives up to 16 TB with NTFS, exFAT, FAT16 and FAT32 on its Windows page, plus recovery from BitLocker-encrypted drives, failed RAID arrays (RAID 0, 5, 6), scratched CDs, DVDs and Blu-rays, and from PCs that no longer boot, using a bootable medium. Damaged photos and videos can be repaired too.
EaseUS also covers hard drives, SSDs, SD cards, USB sticks, RAID and NAS, and names a Mac version with Time Machine support. Next to it sit MobiSaver for iOS and Android and Fixo, which repairs damaged videos, photos, audio and documents. If you want one brand for family and phone, you get more from one source here. For hard cases EaseUS also offers a personal consultation on manual recovery.
Refunds: the window in detail
EaseUS refunds the full purchase price without a fee if you ask within 30 days, the software fails on technical grounds and you let support help. After successful use no refund is planned. If the price on the official page drops within 7 days of your purchase, you can request a price adjustment.
Stellar gives 30 days for annual subscriptions and lifetime licences, and seven for a monthly plan. The policy covers first purchases only, not renewals. You apply by email or ticket; Stellar names processing within two business days and up to ten business days until the money arrives. With the refund the licence is deactivated.
Cashback through daily cashback
At EaseUS you reach the shop through this page: EaseUS at daily cashback. Buy there as you normally would; the size of the rate is on the shop page. The account first books the amount as open and pays out after EaseUS releases it. For software this is key: whoever claims the money back inside 30 days and receives it loses the credit.
There is no shop page for Stellar with us. And a discount code the EaseUS page does not show can lose you the entitlement.
