MAGIX software store: download or box, delivery times and withdrawal
MAGIX makes software for video, music and photo editing. In the online shop you can buy a boxed version, which is posted to you, or a download version that you can use straight away. This guide follows the French store at magix.com, the one the cashback partnership covers, and explains how delivery, withdrawal and payment work there. The site is in French; the country selector also offers Belgium (French) and Switzerland (French), among many others.
Download or boxed version
For many products you can choose between the two. After buying a download you can load the software at once, and shipping costs do not apply. You can ask for a backup CD/DVD when you order. The boxed version arrives by post within a few days, so postage applies. Orders with delivery are sent only by La Poste and DHL, with the exception of Switzerland.

Shipping costs apply to physical products only. If you order several products at once, shipping is calculated once per order, based on the value of the delivery. Costs shown in another currency are converted into euros daily and displayed during checkout. For deliveries outside the European Union, extra taxes can arise.
Payment
You can pay by credit card or by PayPal. The card is charged after the order confirmation has been sent. With PayPal you are redirected to your PayPal page and the amount is debited from your account. For software subscriptions the terms name payment by credit card, and direct debit only for customers living in Germany.
Withdrawal and refunds
You have 14 days to withdraw from a contract without giving a reason. For goods that clock starts on the day you receive them. For digital content it starts on the day the contract is concluded. You send an explicit statement by post, email or fax to MAGIX Software GmbH ([email protected]). The refund follows within 14 days of the notice, and you pay the direct cost of sending goods back.
There are exceptions: software in sealed packaging whose seal you removed, personalised goods, and digital content that is not on a physical medium where execution began with your consent, knowing you lose the right to withdraw. Check this before you start a download.
Software subscriptions
A subscription gives you the latest versions and updates while it runs, and it needs an internet connection. It has a minimum term and extension periods that depend on the offer you choose. It renews automatically unless one party cancels at least one month before the period ends, and a cancellation must be sent in writing. Some products need licence verification at regular intervals, which also requires an internet connection.
Cashback with MAGIX
Open the MAGIX page at daily cashback, press the shop button and order as usual. The current rate is up to 20%, and your account first shows the purchase as open and later as confirmed. If you withdraw from an order, the cashback for it is deducted. Current offers are on the same page and we check them every day.
