AliExpress vs Wish: Where Is Returning Easier? Both marketplaces sell goods from many sellers, and when something goes wrong the rules you know before ordering decide. We recommend AliExpress. It sits in our programme, and its terms for consumers in the EU name a 14-day right of withdrawal with a refund of standard delivery. Wish names a single window of 30 days. Cashback only at AliExpress
You find AliExpress with us at AliExpress at daily cashback. The page shows the current rate per product group; we leave it out here because it moves with promotions. Wish is not in our programme. An order there costs what the marketplace shows and earns nothing through us.

For the cashback it counts that you start on the shop page, order in the same browser window and enter no outside voucher code. The purchase then stands open in your account and becomes payable only once the shop has confirmed it.
Returns at AliExpress
The AliExpress EU terms describe the statutory right of withdrawal: you can cancel an order with the seller within 14 days of receipt and get the price back including standard delivery. If you chose pricier delivery, the seller need not refund the extra. The goods go back without undue delay, at the latest 14 days after you declare the withdrawal. You can be liable for a loss in value caused by unnecessary handling. On top of that come a legal guarantee of at least two years on new goods and, as the terms put it, services such as Free Return and the Money Back Guarantee, which the Buyer Protection page describes.

Returns at Wish
Wish takes back many items within 30 days of delivery. If the goods never arrive, the window runs 30 days from the latest delivery date. You file requests in the app via order history and customer support. For defective, damaged or wrong items a refund is possible even where an exception applies. Wish refunds the price and standard shipping. Express shipping fees stay with you, and in some cases you pay the return postage. If you opt for Wish Cash, the money does not go back to your payment method.
Perishables, opened hygiene items and software with a broken seal are among the exceptions. For customers in Europe, Wish also describes the seller's statutory conformity guarantee.
What a return means for your cashback
On AliExpress care pays twice: if a purchase is refunded or cancelled, the related cashback can be declined. So order things you are sure about. With Wish the question does not arise, as there is nothing to lose and nothing to win.
Check before you buy
On both marketplaces, look at the seller before you order: where is the seller based, how long does delivery take, and who pays for the return? On marketplaces with many traders the same rule does not apply to every item, and the ratings of other buyers give you a feel for the service. Note the delivery date, because deadlines run from receipt or from the latest delivery date. If something is faulty, it is best to take photos straight away.

Anyone who wants to collect cashback: AliExpress through the shop page, on items you mean to keep.
Anyone who sends a lot back: The plain 30-day window at Wish is longer than the statutory one, but you get no cashback for it.
